Our Story

Métis-Owned, Community-Governed, BC-Based

The Métis Financial Corporation (MFC) was created by Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) through an agreement with Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC). MNBC is the sole shareholder of MFC. As a Métis-owned financial institution, MFC is governed by a five-member board of directors and exists to support economic development for Métis entrepreneurs across the province.

To be Métis entrepreneur’s financer of choice and to position Métis entrepreneurs and businesses to be able to fully participate in new and future economic opportunities.
