COVID-19 Business Support Grants

COVID-19 Business Funding

Metis Financial Corporation BC (MFCBC), in partnership with Indigenous Services Canada and Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC), is delivering new COVID-19 Business Support Grants for Métis entrepreneurs in British Columbia.

These new Business Support Grants seek to provide resources for businesses that did not qualify for the COVID-19 financial relief programs that were initiated earlier in the pandemic.

The new Business Support Grants will provide Métis microbusinesses, small, medium, new businesses, and community owned businesses in BC that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic with financial supports in the form of grants.

Contributions received through this grant program are intended to fund reasonable operating expenses and help to ensure that microbusinesses can sustain operations during the economic recovery phase.

The second element of the MFCBC Microbusiness COVID Assistance Grant program provides Métis microbusinesses established prior to March 2020 with grants that will give them access to skilled professionals that can provide expert advice and services to support business recovery and adaptation.  Advisory services include business and financial planning.
